On Friday, a lot happened!! We started the day with a trolley tour, which I would encourage you to do if you got a couple of hours in Chicago to spare. It was really informative and you learn a lot about the city from someone who is actually a Chicagoan. You find out about all these cool eating places and which parts of town to visit and the history behind it. Take a tour is you can!!
Then we watched a documentary called Louder than a Bomb, it is about four high school seniors that are competing in this slam poetry contest call Louder than a Bomb. This movie is very inspirational and I strongly urge you to watch it. At the end of the movie I think most of us were kind of ready to take a nap. But surprise, surprise here comes one of the main characters from the movie (one of the high school student poets), Lamar Jorden, this was such a surprise to everyone that we were all speechless. And to top it all off he performed for us. Such a great way to start the weekend!!
