Slow Art Day and Feelings

Hello yet again! I told you I would get you more information on Slow Art Day at my internship.

First off, if you don't know, I am interning at Intuit: the Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art. On Saturday we participated in Slow Art Day, a day to go out and enjoy art in a more relaxed and slow manor, taking in all the details of the experience. I would say that it went pretty well. I was curator of the show and had to select which five artworks people should spend time looking at. I also was in charge of the discussion after the viewing. It was a really awesome experience, even though only two people came to experience the idea of Slow Art Day. Others visited the museum that day, but only two were involved in the "formal event." We talked about many different aspects and overall they really enjoyed the experience. I do recommend taking time to look at artwork as you make so many more connections.

Here they are!!

I'm so amazed at how far I cam come in my internship and all of the things I have accomplished thus far. Slow Art Day being one of them. While my two friends showed up, My supervisor was still very happy.

All the aspects of spending time in Chicago have really been amazing. I am learning so many new things each and every day, it's crazy! There is always so much going on that it can be overwhelming, I won't lie and sugar coat it. But, it has really been amazing. There are so many experiences that you are exposed to, and I think even those from Chicago get a new experience they can learn and benefit from.

I can't wait for it to really warm up so that I want to go out and do even more things!! I was doing some painting for ISP today and it was really fun (and warm, for a moment.) Nikki and I went to a few stops on the train and go off to find the perfect spot for me to do these paintings, though, she was taking photos rather than painting. After, we stopped by the office for Seminar and had a discussion about some of the works we did, and some of the projects we have yet to do.

Speaking of projects yet to do, I better get back to them. Until next time.

TTFN,
Anna
